With the gradual completion of our country' economic system transfer and the demands of adaptability to economic globalization and joining WTO, on the one hand, the mode and scope of government economic decision-making changed greatly, on the other hand, the demand for scientific economic decision-makings boosted. So integrating the intellectual, technical and information resources of the government and constructing necessary supporting system for economic decision-makings is the indispensable linchpin of realizing the above-mentioned target.The up-coming maturation of OLAP and DataMining technology which provided technical support to the traditional decision-making supporting system, enabled the decision-making supporting system development take the overwhelming milestone and explored a fire-new road for DSS.The visiting to database of the Decision Support System is non-framework, one searching will concerns thousands and tens of thousands data in hundreds forms, the complex connection will affect the performance of the system badly, and meanwhile the users only search the related data when need analysis, and the searching terms are stochastic, so that the analysis ability of the Decision Support System based on the traditional transaction database is too much limited. Meanwhile, OLAP (online analysis process) was raised from the online data searching and analysis, it overcomes alternation limitation in traditional DSS and supports the DSS to access and analysis the data rapidly, accordingly and alternately which is convenient for decision-maker observes the data deeply. Therefore, it has been acknowledged that based on the DataWarehouse technology and using OLAP DataMining tools and to fulfill the DSS, thereinto, DataWarehouse supply the data ability to the OLAP and DataMining directly.The theme based on the request of building the Gov. economic decision-making support system, analyses the function of the system and creates the blueprint design. Using ETL to construct compositive and coherent Information Data Base (which is the Application and Service Center) to facilitate the information sharing in Governments and terminate the Information Island situation. Using the technology of OLAP Data sheet statistic DataMining to explore the Decision Support System and make the decision-making process scientizited intelligentized flexible to meet the demand of the economic improvement.Moreover, the theme apply the Oracle and Brio platform technology, illustrates one province DSS building real case, emphases industry and trade analysis, owner-ship structure analysis, scope structure analysis, enterprise/industry/area integrated competition analysis and employment structure analysis, depict the process of design and building the DataWarehouse and analysis model and the process of data launder and organization to supply the guidance to build the DSS. Other than technology level, the theme combines the advanced engineering method conclude multiple real project to improve the system fulfillment ability in the DataWarehouse engineering academic point of view.Real project in which we build Gov. DDS using DataWarehouse Technology to improve the real utility of the database and search the available combination between the DataWarehouse and the Economic Activity Policy. In this project the Gov. adopts the DataWarehouse Technology to mainly fulfill the following task:In the conclusion, by the exploring of the theme to improve the real function level of DataWarehouse and deliver a newly brightened road of building a Gov. economic decision-making system.
