Applied Research, Data Warehouse Technology In The Library

Though the instance of developing the Data Warehouse(DW) for the library of Xi'an University of Technology,this paper presents all steps developing a data warehouse for a library,and focuses on the information-packing, the star schema, the Multi-Dimension Data Model, theData Transaction Services(DTS), the Online Analytical Processing (OM), etc., which are theimportant technologies on developing a DW system. Meanwhile,the author researched the Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Data Warehousing Framework,and have already done some deepexplore and valuably attempt on the application of data warehouse. In fact, It is shown that themethods presented can be applied to most perplexity problems about the application of datawarehouse technology in library.
