On the study of the fundamental theory of decision supporting system, a efficient and practical decision supporting system for power supply marketing was established on the base of the existing management information system of power supply enterprise by using data warehouse, OLAP technique and data mining technique. The establishment of the county electric company decision supporting system was studied, and according to the data about marketing and produce supplied by MIS of power supply enterprise. The data warehouse for marketing decision supporting system was developed with the help of Microsoft Analysis Services. The data multidimensional analysis service was supplied by OLAP technique. The data in the data warehouse was analyzed in multi-angle and multi-hierarchy by some analytical methods of slice,drill down and pivoting etc.Firstly, the fundamental theory of decision supporting system was simply produced and the subject background,meaning and contents of study were presented. The related theories and techniques of data warehouse, on-line analysis process(OLAP), data mining and MS Analysis Services were then elaborated. Thirdly, for meeting the requirement of the decision supporting system, the whole structure of power marketing assist decision system was studied and the total design of power marketing assist decision system was completed. Finally, the establishment of the power assist decision system was discussed in detail for the actual demand of power marketing system,and according to the practical situation of power industry, the method for establishing the power marketing data warehouse was put forward,the related data warehouse was established,and based on them, the multidimensional data analysis process was proceeded to meet the needs of assist decision.The system discussed in this paper included data warehouse, data analysis, user surface and system management. The data of existing related business system were integrated by the data warehouse system, the data in the data warehouse were analyzed in multi-angle and multi-hierarchy, the efficiency and accuracy in data analysis, data statistic and customized report were greatly improved. It could meet the need of the analysis of the marketing data in power enterprise. A suitable marketing data warehouse was established for historical data by using the system, and the usable data information could be extracted from it. It could supply the scientific foundation for the management and decision of power supply enterprise and it was also important to the electrical power informatization.
