The Application of ERP has become the most important ways and means in the enterprise information management. ERP implementation in the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises can greatly enhance their competitiveness. With China's successful accession to the WTO, a large number of small and medium-sized manufacturers are facing the implementation of ERP projects. At present, the domestic market is dominated by foreign ERP system, which is based on Western management philosophy; it is consistent with the operation of the West's national and Western enterprises. Comparing with the large ERP market, domestic small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises have their own characteristics: their lack of internal MIS staff, their lack procurement and planning staff, their lack of knowledge of ERP enterprise management, their ERP budget constraints, which determine its uniqueness in adopting and implementing of the ERP system. Adopting or Designing a Simple and practical ERP systems becomes a more effective ERP solutions to small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China. The Paper describes the current status and trends of the development of ERP, summed up the characteristics of small and medium-sized manufacturing ERP. By comparative analysis of advantages and disadvantages the common ERP design modeling method, combining with UML modeling language and modeling tools, an adaptive design modeling workflow suitable for small and medium-sized manufacturing is presented.Based on the four main workflows: requirements analysis, system analysis, system design, system implementation, the paper describe the BOGE ERP system design modeling in detail. Focusing on the company's business logic, the paper carried out a detailed analysis of the system design modeling workflows, from Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram to Class, Interface and its relationship. This paper also discussed the system development platform and tools, explored database implementation, Automatic code generation and reverse engineering during the process of the implementation of the system. Through the BOGE ERP system modeling design practice, the effectiveness of the adaptive design modeling workflow suitable for small and medium-sized manufacturing presented by this paper is verified.
