Monitor The Standard White Field To Establish

Recently color TV has developed very well, now several types TV, like CRT HDTV LCD PDP PLD, have been lunch on the market. These TVs use different component to light and have different spectrum, so have to use different color analyzer to control adjust TV'color. To get a uniform result of the measurement, a standard of white point is invited to calibrate these color analyzers. CRT Standard white point instrument, produced by National Institute of Metrology P.R.China, which used to calibrate color analyzer now can't used to measure new types of color TV. To ensure calibrate color analyzer correctly, to conform color TV's producing desired color, it's necessary to design a device that can setup different standard white points on different types of color TV.In this task, Micro-spectrometer was the used to get color TV's spectrum and color coordinate of white point. VGA signals were adopted in this system, adjusted their values, base on color models and current coordinate, to form the standard white point quickly. Both of measuring color TV's chroma and calibrating color analyzer can be realized by this system.This dissertation consisted of six chapters. In the 1^st chapter the importance of providing standard white point was described. The emphases were put on how to produce standard white point, so task of this study was presented. The 2^nd chapter presented the related basic theories of photometry& colorimetry and overall scheme that concerns about the design of the system's configuration. The 3^rd chapter concretely described the hardware designing process for the system's feedback components. The 4^th chapter mainly gives schematic flow chart for system's software designing. DLL and multithreads technology were adopted. In the 5^th chapter experiment of the system was done, five different correlate color temperatures of white point were founded. System show us the good results. The 6^th chapter is the last chapter, the research work and related designs are summarized, and then somepossible improvements are posed.
