This dissertation introduces a newly white image luminance and chrominance measurement system of color TV in detail,which takes CMOS image sensor as its detector and DSP as its kernel processor. The principle of this system is as follows. The white image of color TV will image on CMOS image sensor by the telescope system,and the data of image will be enlarged,A/D changed by CMOS image sensor. After DSP gathers and processes the white image of color TV,the luminance and chrominance parameters of color TV white image will be gotten.This dissertation consists of seven chapters. In the first chapter,the development of color TV and the principle of color TV chrominance will be introduces. The reason that the common color analyzer and white balance tester cannot measure the luminance and chrominance of liquid crystal will be analyzed,too. The luminance and chrominance measurement principle of color TV and the ways to luminance and chrominance measurement of white color TV will be introduced and discussed in the second chapter. Some typical luminance and chrominance measurement instruments will be mentioned in this chapter,too. Chapter three will focus on the global structure of this system and analyze the select of detector and processor. Also,the difference between relatively spectrum response of the CMOS image sensor-OV7620 and CIE Standard Observer relatively spectrum response will be given in this chapter. Chapter four devotes to the optical system and hardware circuit and gives the solution to the nonlinear elements such as AGC,AEC,GAMMA circuit. The implementation of the software will be discussed in the fifth chapter,and the ways to improve measurement precision will discussed in detail such as neutral network. Chapter six gives the comparing measurement results between this system and BM -5 measuring CRT color TV and liquid crystal TV. The reason of the measurement error will be analyzed. In the end,in chapter seven we summarize the work what has been done in this dissertation. The shortcoming of the work is pointed out and the further work is looked forward.This system is an attempt that to measure white image luminance and chrominance of CRT color TV and non CRT color TV with CMOS Image Sensor,and then to realize to auto white balance to CRT color TV,liquid crystal TV with it. The experiment results have proved that the measurement system is of high accuracy. The research on CRT and non CRT white image luminance and chrominance measurement has reached the anticipated demands.
