Control unit which is used in TFT-LCD driver IC is deeply studied in this thesis. It comes from the project "Development of TFT-LCD driver IC used for mobile phone" supported by National 863 High Technology Research and Development Program of China.The research work of this thesis mainly includes:1, According to the specification of the TFT-LCD driver IC and TFT-LCD display methodology , the thesis presents the system design of Control circuit unit for the TFT-LCD Driver IC .2, According to the characteristics of TFT-LCD ,asynchronous multi-clock domain has been considered in the design process3, Because this TFT-LCD Driver IC is used in mobile phone,several low power techniques have been discussed in the design process , such as gated-clock FSM reconstructed and low power coding style.4, Testability is affected by gated-clock, structure of the circuit has been ameliorated to avoid this effect.5, The thesis presents the design of line mark mapped and display address generator unit .By dint of this unit different binding mode , different scan mode, partial display and screen scrolling function are supported.6, Based on thorough studies of current verification strategies, the thesis presents a verification method for the control circuit. Based on function coverage and self-check, different level verification of the control circuit which is used in the TFT-LCD Driver IC has been finished.LongTium T1 has already been taped out successfully in 2006.5. Then it has already been tested by Advantest in Shanghai and TIAN-MA in Shen zhen in 2006.9,results of the test show that LongTium T1 can be used in mobile phone successfully . LongTium T1 has already been appraised by science and technology department of Shanxi province in 2006.12.
