| With the arrival of Post-PC times, the application of embedded system becomes popular. According to the development situation of vehicle GPS navigation system at domestic and abroad, this paper puts forward a collectivity design which is based on ARM microprocessor and embedded Linux operation system, and a system compartmentalized idea which is about function modules. In the thesis, the system design and implement have been analyzed in detail from two sides of hardware and software.About hardware designing, the paper discusses the S3C2440A and it's peripheral circuits, LCD display circuit, touching screen circuit as well as GPS module interface circuit, and analyzes the principle of these modules.In the way of software development, embedded Linux is used for the kernel of the platform. Firstly, the thesis introduces the replanted process of the boot loader program and kernel of operation system, and the development process of the root file system. Then, it discusses the device driver of LCD and GPS module in detail. Lastly, this paper puts forward an innovation development mode of the navigation program-'MiniGUI+MGIS', and emphatically introduces the design principle and implement method of the navigation application. This application no only has many abundant function menu and button, which are good to handlers, but also has a fine framework.From the viewpoint of practicality application, the paper offers a new design idea for the embedded Linux progress in the vehicle GPS navigation system. By the design method, this system has many virtues which include high reliability, orientation precision, friendly man-machine conversation interface, convenient using, inexpensive and so on, meanwhile it has certain practice value. |
