The Research And Implementation Of Email System Based On Linux And MiniGUI

This thesis describes the design and implementation of the Public Email System based on the embedded Linux kernel and MiniGUI graphics user interface(GUI).And during the processing of the developing, some security problems of the Email transferring have been found and also given some advice on how to solve them.First the thesis discuss the related technology of the Email, coding technology and security problems. The thesis also research the security of the Email network protocol and analyze the SMTP/ESMTP,POP3 protocol security leak and propose how to resolve the leak. And based on the characteristic of above technology, the requirement scheme is proposed.Then the thesis analyses the Email system design scheme. According to the Public Wireless Multimedia Terminal(WMT) design scheme and the network characteristics of the embedded Linux, the scheme of the Email system is based on the embedded Linux and the MiniGUI, and the scheme has the characteristics of gently coupling, easily expanding and porting .It shows the design has much creative work.And then according to the design scheme, the thesis discuss the implementation characteristics and the corresponding flowchart in detail. And During all the process of the implementation, the requirement that the embedded software must have the function of responding more fast and occupying memory less comparatively is considered.At last, points out the nowadays system's problems and prospect the direction of the next generation Email system.
