The Research And Design Of Vehicle Navigation System Based On ARM-Linux Platform

The Vehicle Navigation System (VNS), receiving satellite signal and coordinating electronic map data, grasps the own's position and destination in real-time. In the international and domestic market, theVNS is becoming or later on the vehicle important equipment.This topic by the design and realization of theVNS based on the ARM-Linux platform:1. Using the low power, the low cost, high performance and price 32 RISC embedded processor ARM. For the configuration and transplant of Boot Loader, to complete the initialization of the hardware.2. The free and opens source Linux as the operating system, together works between software and hardware3. Referring to other VNS, independently design and realization of the GIS system with the light graph tool MiniGUI.This thesis first introduces the choice of software and hardware of the vehicle navigation system. Then give the description of the ARM processor, the customization and transplant of Boot Loader and the Linux operating system. Emphasis is the design and realization of VNS with MiniGUI on ARM-Linux platform.
