In recent years, with the rapid development of communication technology, embedded technology, semiconductor technology and sensor technology, Wireless Sensor Network has become a new technology developing quickly. Wireless Sensor Network is a kind of self-organizing network, which is composed of many small nodes, and can be used for sensing, testing, collecting signal processing and controlling. ZigBee is a new global standard for Wireless Personal Area Network, which is made by ZigBee alliance for low cost, short distance and low power consumption. ZigBee technology has made up of the vacancy of Low-Rate wireless communication field, and it has a big application foreground. This thesis is made combining with the research of ZigBee Wireless Sensor Network.The thesis firstly narrates the present researching status of Wireless Sensor Network throughout the world, then characteristics and the node system architecture of Wireless Sensor Network is introduced. Based on the analysis of ZigBee stack architecture, an experiment platform for wireless sensor ZigBee protocol is designed, including hardware design of the node, the design of function software, the debugging of the circuit and software, the main program of ZigBee star network topology and the managing software of Wireless Sensor Network. Finally realizes the ZigBee star network topology with the nodes and the managing software, and the collection and transmission of the data is realized. All this establishes the in-depth research foundation of ZigBee technology.The node has an advantage of low power consumption. This node is designed with a singlechip Atmega128L being its core, CC2420 being its wireless communication module, a special battery state detecting module is designed by DS2770.The node has a DS18B20 temperature sensor, sensor interfaces of 8-AD,SPI,IIC,1-Wire is designed, and interfaces of RS232,ISP,JTAGICE,LCD display module is designed too. Connecting with different sensor module, the node can accomplish many functions.Experiment result indicates that the network with this node has many advantages such as great stability, high efficiency in telecommunication, being practical, low power consumption, and the management software for Wireless Sensor Network can manage the mesh in effect.The experiment platform for wireless sensor ZigBee protocol has been designed, So as to pave the way for further research of ZigBee protocol and...
