In the system of phase array antenna, for decreasing the insertion loss and the power level of feeder line, especially for phase shifter, power amplifiers are installed after the antenna elements. This is active phase array antenna. A design scheme including the phase shifter and amplifier modules is presented in this paper. For the wide scanning angle, the time delay phase shifter is used in the array element to realize a wide instantaneous bandwidth, and a switch line phase shifter is performed in this paper. For the module of amplifiers, four separated beam channels are relized by Wilkinson's power dividers. Based on the model of real lumped chip resistor, Wilkinson's power divider is optimized in order to consider the influence the parasitic parameter of the chip resistor. According to scheme comparison and the existing experiment condition, the final products, based on millimeter wave hybrid integrated circuit, arrive at the target we expected. E-plane microwave to waveguide transition is chosen to make the goal of high selection and tiny volume. The measurement results meet the requirement of project.Chapter 1 is a survey of the whole dissertation. First, disserts the characteristic of the system of active phase array antenna simply. Second, sums up the development of it on domestic and abroad and gives the international advanced level. Last, briefly introduces the purpose and the main work of this thesis.Chapter 2 introduces the principle structure and theory of single pole double throw switch, and the proceeding of simulation and test of phase shifter are given carefully.Chapter 3 discusses millimeter passive circuits in the front end of the system of active phase array antenna, of which the Wilkinson's power divider is mainly discussed.Chapter 4 introduces the basic theory of amplifier, the power combine technology and the basic structure of the front end, the test results are given in the end.Chapter 5 is the end of the paper, it gives some improvement advice and easily ignored points that can provide important experience for later research on it.
