With the rapid development of phased array radar technology, the active phased arrayradar has been applied in many military fields, which demands higher performance of T/Rmodule. This thesis is focused on the design and implementation of C band T/R modulewhich is one of pre-research projects in our laboratory. The main work of the research isincluding:1. In this paper, the advantage of phased array radar over the normal radars is discussed.Meanwhile, the key role the T/R module plays in the phased array radar is introduced inchapter one.2. An implementation scheme is proposed according to the system parameters of thewhole T/R module. Then the detail parameters of each specific part in the project arecalculated.3. A three-stage direct coupled low noise amplifier(LNA)is designed, simulated andimplemented. The amplifier operates well. Its noise figure is lower than 1.1 dB(Fmax<1.1dB) in the work frequency band, the gain flatness△G<0.5dB, and the gainreaches 36 dB. Meanwhile, the linear phase error△P<±2.5°, the input 1dB compressionpoint is -27 dBm, and the output 1dB compression point is +10 dBm.4. As a key part in T/R module, 4-bit digital phase shifter is designed, simulated andimplemented. It operates well. In its working frequency band, the maximum phase error isbetter than 6°, the RMS phase error is better than 3°, and the insertion loss is lower than6.4dB.
