Power divider as one of the important components of a transceiver RF front end in the study of RF devices has an important position.In recent years,along with the various new requirements of wireless communication,radar,and other fields,promote the great development of sending and receiving letter technology,the requirement to the power divider is also towards to the multirband,high performance,small size,low cost,easy integration,etc.Based on this,this paper puts forward a dual-band and a tri-band Wilkinson power divider which using a coupled line composite left/right-handed transmission line unit,specific content summarized as follows:1.The research status,advantages and disadvantages of various different kinds of design of power divider was Summarized.And the theoretical basis of Wilkinson power dividers were expounded.The impedance matching network,which is the key and importent point of the design of power divider were summarized;At the same time,put forward the concept of left-handed materials,and describe its special properties,in accordance with these properties of the left-handed materials,which can be sued to design a impedance matching network,a design method of dual-band and multi-band Wilkinson power divider was proposed.By the way,a coupled line composite left/right-handed transmission line unit was Introduced,the structure characteristics of the unit was analyzed,and the feasibility analysis of its using in the design of dual-band and multi-band Wilkinson power divider was described too.2.A dual-band Wilkinson power divider with coupled line composite left/right-handed transmission line unit was presented.The center work frequency of the power divider was 1/2.4 GHz.The integral structure of the power divider was simple,which make the power divider easy to implement Because of the using of left-handed material structure,the overall size of the power divider was relatively small;Different from the other types of dual-band power divider which also based on the structure of left-handed materials,the presented power divider in this paper has a advantage of no using of lumped LC components or grounding hole which might affect the performance of circuit in high frequency,which made the power divider has a relatively good performance.The simulated and measured results of the power divider were given,showed that the performance indicators were good,which bolstered our design.3.A tri-band Wilkinson power divider with coupled line composite left/right-handed transmission line unit was presented.The center work frequency of the power divider was 1/2.4/5.8 GHz.Same as above,the whole circuit of power dividers was fully distributed and with no grounding hole,also,the structure of the power divider was simple which easy to implement,and the size of the power divider was relatively small,the simulated and measured results were given,which showed that the excellent performance of the power divider.4.A quad-band impedency transformer based on coupled line was presented.the center work freqency of the transformer was 1/2/3.3/4.3 GHz,detailed design process was deduced.The transformer has advantage of simple structure,easy to implement,and the simulation and test result were both good which bolstered our design and laid a good-foundation for the follow-up work.
