With the development of modern advanced manufacturing technology, it requires the measurement method to be more high-precision, more high-speed. The traditional measurement method couldn't satisfy the special request in the modern manufacturing. The theories of Virtual Instruments(VI) which have been established in this background since1980s was applied to actual manufacture measurement with the development of the technology of computer and electronic science, and has taken on tremendous superiorities in the applicability to measurement, the convenience to system building and the low cost of system.Automobile electronics was considered a revolution in the process of automotive technology development. The degree of automotive electronics is an important symbol of measuring the level of the modern automobile, and is the most important technical measures in developing new models and improving vehicle performance. Car manufacturers consider that it is important and effective means in increasing the number of vehicles and electronic equipment for the future of the automobile market. ETACS-ECU is the core component in SWS Bus Control System. The system can control high beams, dipped highlights, supper lights, night lights, frontal and rear fog lamps, frontal and rear Wipers (high speed and low speed, intermission, fog removing), the former and rear wiper's nozzles, the seat belt light, indoor light, the key light, turning around lights, hazard warning light, lock / unlock gate, retention mirror open / reset, wireless remote lock / unlock gate, and the buzzer of the seat belt warning, reversing, lighting control, forgetting key, and so on.The subject of this thesis comes from the item of "ETACS-ECU automatic test system" in Shenzhen Kingdom Car Electronic Ltd. This thesis will detail the theoretical basis, hardware design, embedded software design and PC software design of system tester of Semi-manufactured goods of ETACS-ECU. As a result, it is able to complete dynamic and static parameter testing, functional testing, anti-polarity testing, and power-changing testing on Semi-manufactured goods of ETACS-ECU. On this basis, the implementation of this test system can accomplish single-step, automatic and programmable automatic testing.Virtual Instrument technology has been introduced into the automatic testing system. It improves the efficiency and simplicity of operation of testing ETACES-ECU and is the solid foundation of quality assurance in the mass production.
