| Virtual Instrument, which is the offspring of the computer technology and the test technology, makes full use of the resources of software and hardware of PC. It is a kind of novel intelligentized instrument systems substituting traditional instruments. It consists of hardware modules and software modules. The hardware module is designed to collect and convert the signals to be measured through A/D, then feed the computer with the digital signals. These signals will be analyzed and displayed in a friendly user interface by software according to the given requirements.In this paper, a Outer virtual Instrument Measuring System consisting of signal acquisition unit and software package was developed according to the principle of Virtual Instrument. The system can perform wave display and data processing, as well as some regular functions such as data saving and printing out. Surely it can substitute the Voltage Meter, four channels Oscilloscope and Frequency Analysis Meter.The circuit designing of data acquisition board, especially of the parallel communication interface is thoroughly analyzed and the protocol of communication between PC and the data acquisition board is defined. The software is designed for Windows 2000,and Multithread and OOP technique is used. |
