With the development of network technology and the prevalence of Internet, managing the campus information using advanced MIS technology and software development platforms has become the latest trend sweeping the university management architectures. Till now almost all the functional departments in universities have set up MIS systems concerning their own daily works, while Teachers' Office System still witness poor network-based information managements. In order to meet the needs of network management for teachers' officing information, this thesis presents a web-based synthetic MIS for campus teachers' office automation. This system based on the functional campus LAN, applies the B/S pattern and popular JSP technology. Functions concern noting and posting, leader's mailbox, files cetre, etc. This system has many advanced features, such as versatile, multi-level users, high security, etc.The contributions of this thesis are as follows:1. It designs and develops the teachers' office system based on B/S pattern and JSP technology. The system has the following novel features:(a) Using JSP technology and based on the advanced B/S pattern.(b) Real OA running on the Web with multiple functions.(c) Users with different priorities can access their own interested information.(d) High system security obtained by a mufti-level security scheme.(e) User interface friendly and high convenience.2. This system fully uses the opening source solution, so avoids the intelligent property problems. This system uses Apache Tomcat as the web server container, MySql as database management system, JSP technology to develop dynamic web pages, but has no special requirements to clients' browser.
