As the modern machine manufacturing industry develops rapidly and welding techniques improve in China, wire demand keeps increasing, and the growth in wire production drives demand for wire winding machines. Wire winding machines with single-chip control not only achieve automatic control of wire layer rounding, greatly improving production efficiency, but also have functions like automatic weighing, constant tension control, giving an alarm when failure occur. This research project has important practice significance to computer control winding field.In this project, a microcomputer control system to wire winding machines is studied and developed using the C8051 F005 single-chip of Cygnal company, hardware designing is conducted for various control parts of precision winding machines, like 4-times-frequency-subdivided electric circuit for light electricity coders, interface drive for stepping motors, weighing, display drive, keyboard scan and detent constant current source drive. special efforts are paid on further study on testing method of rotate speed of the principal axis motor, and the 4-times-frequency-subdivided electric circuit for light electricity coders is studied and developed.Through an in-depth study on all factors contributing to disorderly lines during the winding process of wire winding machines, we found out the roots to disorderly lines and proposed an actual process control method, That is the system first calculates and displays the number of rounds for the first layer of wire, directs the completion of a winding process, and then automatically repeat the winding process for many times, to avoid the occurrence of accumulated calculation error and disorderly lines and increases the winding efficiency.To ensure the wire quality, tension must be kept in stable during the winding process. In this thesis, a tension closed-loop control system with magnetic particle detent as actuator is designed, and power circuits for driving are developed to drive magnetic particle decent. an in-depth analysis is conducted on principles of the tension closed-loop control system and properties of actuators, the integral separated PID control algorithm suitable for the closed-loop system is adopted, It is difficult to define the control parameter in tension by using the routine PID controller.So we design an adaptive PID controller based on the fuzzy principle.It can change the parameter according to the deviation and rate of change of deviation in real time怂The software part of the control system is composed of the main programme, interrupt service programme and other sub-programmes.
