The Notes and Commentaries of Shuijingzhu written by Yang Shoujing and Xiong Huizhen has made comprehensively research in Shuijingzhu through philological and historical geography approaches. Based on its prominent achievements, this book was considered as the peak of Shuijingzhu's research during the Qing Dynasty.By now, two transcriptions of The Notes and Commentaries of Shuijingzhu have been photocoped: one is the transcription photocoped by Science Pressing House, in Beijing, 1957; the other is the transcription photocoped by Zhonghua Pressing House, in Taipei, 1971. Though both of them were transcribed during the same period, there are many literal differences. The transcription photocoped in Beijing was punctuated and revised by Professor Duan Xizhong and collated by Professor Chen Qiaoyi with the transcription photocoped in Taipei. This edition was pessed by Jiangsu Ancient Books Publishing House in 1989 and was praised as the best edtion. However, due to the limited conditions, this edition was collated subjectively to a certain extent.Besides, there are some other mistakes in it. Then, the transcription photocoped in Beijing was punctuated and collated by Professor Xie Chengren and HouYingjie, etc. The newly punctuated and collated edition was jointly pressed by Hubei People's Publishing House and Hubei Educational Publishing House in 1997.Its characteristic is that the detailed differences between the two photocoped transcription were all kept in the collating records. Through collating and comparing the first twenty volumes of the two punctuated and collated editions, this dissertation has corrected 250 pieces of mistakes in the Former and 60 pieces of mistakes in the latter. Meanwhile, this dissertation has collated 7 editions of Shuijingzhu between the Ming and Qing Dynasties and consulted the related reference books. May it be useful for related researchers.
