University Library In The Network Environment Of Personalized Information Services

In the network environment, the traditional information services can't cater for the users with increasing demand for personalized information, so personalized information services have become one of the important forms to deepen university library's information services.The paper discusses some important issues associated with personalized information services in university libraries from both theory and practice. First, some relative basic theories are analyzed on university library's information services. Second, the domestic international personalized information services and the typical cases are described, introduced and analyzed. On the basis of this, the personalized information services of university library in China and abroad are evalued. Then, methods that a system of university library's personalized information services is built in China are introced, and a series of issues are addressed in the case of designing prinple, basic structure, relative technology, service pattern and content, designing demand.Finally,the paper puts forward some corresponding tactics according to the major existing problems of university library. One survey is given about user' s demand for university library's personalized information services.
