This thesis introduces the hardware and software design of one kind of radar diagnosis system, combines the fault dictionary and the fault tree analysis to locate the fault with exchangeable PCB or individual functional module.Firstly it analyzes the development of fault diagnosis and some new technologies used in it. Based on principles of radar, there brings up a general scheme of fault diagnosis system and detailed description to fault module division, fault location and setup of fault tree. In hardware design, an integrated multi-center A/D chip is for input signal conversion, CPLD and ARM EMPU are the core of fault diagnosis system and information processing. Host computer is connected with the system through network technology - which owns certain advantages such as wide range of input signal, powerful processing ability and low power consumption; also it can be extended as a remote portable terminal. In software design, it performs time-sharing collecting to the detected points, diagnoses the fault and drives other terminal. The design strives for a short operation time, strong anti-jamming and a good reliability. Focus on the characteristics of this radar, long-time effect and electromagnetic compatibility are emphasized. Some hardware/software resolution to the electromagnetic interference is put forward and the tolerance deviation of the each detected point is different. The fault dictionary is made more reliable in reference to the previous repairing experience and the whole system is convenient for routine use. The article finally ends with two diagnosis examples testifying the efficiency of new system.
