Coke Oven four cars are main equipment of Coke production. Empoldering of the system of four cars operation and automatic orientation is a hotspot in coke industry. However, the reliability of coke equipments, especially the electric equipments and mechanical equipments, is low Because of complex environment.At the same time, the complicated system structure and dispersive installation make lots of trouble for fault checking and equipment maintenance.First, the theory of traditional fault tree analysis and fuzzy fault tree analysis is studied. Considering the similar configuration of four cars, We mainly research the fault mode of the Pushing cars based on comprehending the main information of system. With the method of traditional fault tree analysis,a fault tree is builded, whose top event is Pushing cars operation and automatic orientation system fault. Then the fault tree is predigested and analysed qualitatively.It has much difficulty on equipment failure quantitqtive analysis for four-car system, so accurate quantitative analysis on components and systems reliability is difficult to realized with the statistical probability theory. Therefore, the fuzzy theory is introduced to analyse the base events of the fault tree with fuzzy operator. We cite the evaluation method-AHP to evaluate events probability.The knowledge of experts in coke oven is cited to calculate the weights of respective expert,and establish the expert evaluation system, then the membership functions of the events based on equipment life-span is gained.Meanwhile, calculate the failure probability of the top event and the smallest cut importance degree, analyse system weaknesses and important part and make suggestions to improve system design.Finally, integrating the fault tree analysis and rule-based diagnostic expert system integration, the knowledge model is established. The programming language of delphi7.0 is utilized to develop friendly interface and experts function fault diagnosis system. A running record database is established to reflect the production and operations information of the four major car system, using it to analyse the failure mode and give out a diagnostic report. Expert fault analysis is used to find failure source or set failure model in a small range and provide important fault diagnosis reference information for system engineers. At the same time, it provides gists for improving the system design, based on the synthetical record for the equipment fault diagnosis information.
