When stepping into the digital era, the information exchange among people became more and more popular. As a high band-efficiency digital modulation scheme, DVBC (Digital Video Broadcasting of Cable) QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) Modulator is widely adopted in the wide-band communication area, such as HDTV broadcasting, Cable Modem, microwave communication, satellite communication and so on. In recently years, with the great progress made in the field of IC and digital communication, it is possible to integrate the whole high-speed digital communication system in a single chip. The main contribution of this dissertation in Modulator can be concluded as following:1. Study and Verification of DVBC QAM Modulator with digital design technology on the FPGA laboratorial platform .In recently years, transplant from general product to VLSI is speeded up for the highly advancement in the field of IC and communication system.2. It is necessary for TS (Transmission Stream) packets to be inserted and deleted when they enter into Modulator. In the same time, it is needed to revise PCR (Program Clock Reference) in TS for the rate of TS is changed.3. It is implemented that TS is mapped into invariant symbol rate under multi-constellation mapping mode.4. Study and Verification of Raised-root cosine filter, half-band filter, CIC filter on multi-design tools. In order to increase processing rate of inserting filters, pipe line is used to satisfy IF (Intermediate Frequency) Modulation.5. NCO (Numeric Controlling oscillator) based on LAB (Look-at Table) fully satisfy IF modulation.
