Sichuan Telecom Company Limited provided the ADSL service since 2001. After 3 years high speed development, Sichuan telecom own over 800,000 ADSL lines and over 600,000 ADSL customers. The ADSL network and the number of the customers is still rising in such high speed. The high speed development of the ADSL network brings the new challenge to the company maintenance department. In the early days of the network established, manpower maintenance working and trouble shooting, test the line with some simple handset apparatus. The way is not contented the quality of service and the network futher development. The author is in charge of the ADSL network maintenance since 2002. The author is working over the wideband network maintenance methods and layout.In this background, the author did a serious of researchs and compares. This article delivers the wideband network automatic maintenance system, the antetype of the wideband maintenance system design. This article consults the design method, the theorys and the key technologies of this solution. Depending on the compararies and discuss, the author established the test flat in the network center in Chengdu, to test and running the maintenance system the author designed. The test contents and results all in this article. The test proved that the system designed in the article can work and reach the goal of the integrate wideband network maintenance work and enhance the wideband network maintenance abilities in low level of investment. Now, this solution is keeping optimized and delived to Sihcuan Telecom to do the futher commercial evaluation.
