Recently with the rapid development of Internet, various kinds of broadband access network are brought into the world, among which ADSL is the most competitive technique. ADSL splitters take a role of separating low-frequency audio signals from high-frequency signals. Considering there is still no effective ADSL splitter test device in the field, this project, which is from Changzhou No. 6 Radio Components Factory, researches and develops a set of embedded test system.The paper analyses user's requirement for test and communication, introduces the relative standards, gives the design of ADSL splitter test system, which is compatible for the next generation network(NGN). The paper also designs the embedded test hardware, constructs the embedded network control platform supporting dual stacks of Ipv4 and Ipv6, develops the embedded WEB server program, setting up a network environment for test experiments. The system has been used in practice, and meets the requirements of user.The paper involves multiple techniques of computer network application, electronic circuit design, and embedded system development. The innovation relies on two aspects. One is the application of multiple communication ways to save the cost of develop and running, considering user's practical requirements. The other is to extend the NGN technique into the remote monitoring device development, which brings better practical value and extending significance.
