The designed system worked like this: the PAL video signal from micro-camera or other analog video devices was input to the video decoder and A/D device via AV or S interface. Then the MB86390 encoded the digital video data from A/D transmitter, and the encoded video data was stored by MCU finally.The MB86390 with internal controller was the hard-core part of the system, and it not only realized the compression of the images, but also controlled other chips in the system. The PPGA chip served logic circuit for internal controller to read or write the ROM and SDRAM, and it was also the interface circuit for MB86390 controlled other ships. Firmware download and debugging online was the work of the serial interface C program. MCU and CF card were the component parts of the storing part of system, and the MCU stored encoding data out from the MB86390 into CF card. On the basis of file system on CF card, computer could read and write the data out or into the CF card conveniently and directly. Video signal was sampled and compressed by the image processing part of system, and then the video data was stored by the image storing part of system, computer read out the compressed image data stored on CF card and replayed with on the computer.
