Iptv Content Distribution Network Design And Implementation

Internet and Wide Band network have been developed greatly as the technology of communication and IP have made great progress. A new business named IPTV was created since Internet business and traditional TV business were integrated. IPTV is one of the most important businesses of NGN as well as the very important business form in the future network of home.IPTV not only can meet the requirement of the innovation about telecom business but also can be the start position for telecom operation to change operation thought and implement strategic change successfully. It is urgent for China Telecom to develop IPTV business.This article not only presents a detailed plan about the design of content distribution network in the IPTV experiment network constructed by SICHUAN telecom newly, but also makes a validation and test for the result of the solution.The design mainly involves the following five points:1. The article gives a brief description and analysis about the design background and design purpose of the content distribution network for the IPTV system constructed by SICHUAN Telecom, and introduces the related technology and concept about IPTV system.2. The article simply introduces the content distribution technology used in current IP network, and makes a comparison about the above three technologies integrating with the structure and requirements about China Telecom IP loading network and then decides to adopt the CDN technology that used by content distribution network.3. This article describes detailed solution of content distribution network integrating with the requirement for establishment network constructed by SICUAN Telecom and the situation of China Telecom loading network, for the implementation technology of CDN, and simply explains the requirement for the equipment vendor and system Integration Corporation during the process of engineering implement.4. This article introduces the main test process and test result during the process of checking and accepting of the IPTV system. 5. The results of testing prove that the design is successful. Besides, this article summarizes the thought and method for the network construction , optimization and maintenance in the future.
