Communication Research And Information Systems Modeling Techniques

While developing a Communication and Information System, modeling is a necessary procedure. Modeling can make designing process simpler, and make a"blueprint"for the system. A good model of the system can make a well foundation for satisfy user's requirement, ensure the system's stability and quality, and improve the system's extensibility. Modeling technology is the technologies of build model. This article introduces two representative traditional structured modeling technology and modern popular object-oriented modeling technology: the IDEF (ICAM DEFinition, becoming Integration DEFinition) Family of Methods and Unified Modeling Language (UML).The IDEF0 method is used to specify function models. It's the most mature method in the IDEF suite. It is loosely based upon the Structured Analysis and Design Technique (SADT) method. IDEF0 use a module with some diagrams, aid describe documents and glossary explains to describe a real system, exhibit the actions between the system's activities, and make explicit in resources which inputs need.UML is a unified symbol language. It is a standard modeling method in the object-oriented system, and is the most widely used. UML can describe the object model exactly. UML gives out the structure diagram and activity diagram, uses a group diagrams which include various elements to describe the realized way and process of the system's functions.Information Dissemination Management (IDM) system is a complex software system involving information awareness, access, delivery and support services functions.
