Certain Urban Wcdma Radio Network Planning

This thesis which shows the example for a city in Sichuan , discusses the methods of network planning for the speech and data services in WCDMA networks . It plans the capability, covering and quality and sets the radio resource parameters according to the planning. It makes the network cost the least based on fulfilling the requirements of certain signal covering, system capability and service quality.The radio network planning includes the pre-planning and particular planning. The pre-planning includes the link budget, capability planning and station number estimation etc. The particular planning includes the fieldwork survey, station place selection, transmission mode rectify and programming, software simulation etc.This radio network planning gets the WCDMA network cover planning for a city in Sichuan before China Mobile develops WCDMA, according to my project practice experiences and my WCDMA theoretical knowledge. The most importance is that I pre- plan the WCDMA network for a city in Sichuan, in the condition that China Mobile is on the point of developing WCDMA and every corporation keeps secret their own network planning information. There is so little information collected, and this work accumulates many practical experiences for developing WCDMA networks for the future.
