Based On Component Technology Research And Development Of The Examination System

With the development of computer technology and network technology, the influence of computer in instruction strengths increasengly, and its effects on traditional instruction mode and traditional examination system become greater. With the implementation of the principles of "Separation between Teaching and Examining", "Credit System" etc., more and more demand of examination system is required by schools and examination evaluation department. The technology of component presented by Microsoft is a mutual call technology among application programs supported by Windows Operating System, which is suits the development of examination system. Combining with the technology of component, an all-purpose examination system has been designed and developed by the author.This paper firstly introduces the history, the status quo and the development trends of examination system. Aiming at the problems of examination system, the author synthetically analyzes the examining demands of different subjects and different courses, and presents a basic framework of the all-purpose examination system. This framework includes establishing examinees' information management system to replace traditional registration system so that students' enrollment status could be managed among different schools and their credits could be admitted, establishing an intelligent examination management system to make examination time unrestricted etc., establishing a database management system of examination questions which has the ability of synthetical information process, establishing a database of examination questions including various materials, establishing an intelligent system to form a set of examination paper so that users could decide examination paper's contents themselves according to discretionary order, discretionary knowledge points, and discretionary questions, which suits non-paper and traditional examination, establishing a precise examination monitoring system, establishing a grade process system meeting the requirements of educational department, researching and developing a component of checking examination paper to check operating questions of Word and Excel, and eliminating many current limitations of various systems to make students answer the questions humanized.
