| Examinations have some direct bearings on one's daily life, especially in our education and profession. Nowadays, different kinds of academic credentials and examinations of academic or technical titles have gone deep into all walks of our life. However, traditional examinations have already revealed so many shortcomings. With the continuous expansion of information technology and the Internet, the Web-based online exams are gradually applied and become a major trend in education.The Web-based online examination system can exploit the advantages of networks to the full, and it is always independent of time and place. The system can also increase efficiency, improve quality, reduce costs, digitalize the Test Question Database (TQD) and make it shared by all examinees. The result of the system will be more objective and precise.This thesis mainly discusses significance, major contents and prospects of the system, and it elaborates on the speculative knowledge and relevant technology used in the system. It includes:ASP technology, database technology, ADO auto-visiting of database, auto-generating test paper, and evaluation of tests etc. It also emphasizes on feasibility analysis, requirement analysis, modeling tools, exploitation tools, system architecture, database designing, realization of system, and especially the system designing and implementation of the required computing courses in our school.This Web-based online examination system has been successfully applied in the required computer course and well received by students and teachers. It provides examinees a flexible, scientific method of exam, lowers the cost of exams, and lightens teachers' workload. The TQD can also be shared by other schools. The desired results have been achieved. |
