Design And Implementation Of Ipsec-based Vpn Gateway

With the development of information technology, more and more people and institutes connect internet. People can exchange and share information conveniently in internet, but we also can not avoid security problem of information.Virtual Private Network(VPN) technology integrates tunnel encryption identity authentication and forms security network in public network. Because of its security low price ,it is used widely. Realizing VPN has many forms, IPSec is the usual way.This paper begins with the background of VPN. Then it deeply analyzes TCP/IP and IPSec. It discusses the security characteristic in every TCP/IP layer. It also introduces the process of the IPSec packets. After comparing three methods, it selects hardware solution. The paper illustrates the software design scheme according to software modularization. After introducing every software parts, this paper emphasizes the configuration part. At last we test the VPN. The results show that the application can accord with the scheduled request.
