With the development of the science and technology, the communication enterprises grow quickly. Based on the progress in the basic and systematic technology, the communication networking is also improving to a higher level.Accordingly, there are more requirements on the power supply system and air conditioning system. Furthermore, more automatical communication devices provide more possibilities of central monitoring system. A great deal of power supply devices and air conditioning devices are distributed in separate modules. Using the monitoring system, the maintenance staff can find the malfunction and then send workers to solve the problems on site if it is necessary. Consequently the communication office doesn't need to keep certain maintenance workers in the computer room whole day and whole night to patrol, take note, repair and correct failure.This thesis introduces the detailed information of power supply control system, such as design principle, content, composition, hardware function and networking structure. It also illustrates the design and measure processing of Power DCS in Weifang Communication Company.Communication power monitoring includes high pressure power distribution, transformer, low pressure power distribution, continuous power (UPS), switch power, accumulator, air condition and environment (temperature, humidity, submerge, smog etc.) The central monitoring system has normal maintenance, malfunction analysis, alarm control and remind function. The monitoring system uses individual monitoring cells -SU (monitoring module SM)- to collect the data from the separate power devices. Several relatively independent data collecting systems consist of many SU and the monitoring modules themselves compose the subsystem. Then the monitoring collecting system could send the data to the power devices control center via telephone network or 97 networks. Finally the control center will use Power DCS to monitor the dynamicmenu, draw the live/historic chart, make live/historic data table, analyze data, print, alarm/alarm print, live/historic database, telemeter, and remote control.The application of the power central control technology is a symptom that the communication power maintenance and management is changing from the personnel checking pattern to computer control pattern, which is the base of the following few worker or no worker management system. In addition, the central control system can also improve the power supply quality. All the testing records and maintenance files can be print out after a certain time and memorized automatically. For example, the charging and discharging curves of the accumulator, the switch on and off time of the diesel generator, electric pressure and current etc can be saved and filed automatically. Thereby it meets the needs of the communication and should be recommended to the communication operators.Since the power central control system was put into use in our company, it works rather well and stable. All the alarm can be reported in time and the operation is easy to learn. So all the staff in our company can use the system properly.
