| In GSM, Global System for Mobile Communication, SMS is the only service thatis not based on setting up point to point channel, and it can work in the state of pointto point communication. Because SMS can send only one sentence once, so themethod of communication is asynchronous. In the GSM system, every shot messageis dealt respectively, and the SMS service center is in charge of transferring the shortmessages. The cost of short message is low in that point to point short message neednot set up any channel additionally. Every short message can send 160 7-bit code dataor 140 6-bit code data, or 70 UNICODE code. Thus, in some test and control systems,which do not need very high capability of real-time and traffic and transmission speed,people can use GSM short message to transfer data and control order. And also, thiscould be free of setting up wireless communication network.This article first discusses modern wireless communication technology'sdeveloping background, architecture and key issues, including the technical trait, thecriterion of WCDMA.CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, and the compare among them.Later the article introduces some new service based on wireless communicationtechnology briefly. And this article describes some key technologies and issues in thedeveloping of these applications. In detail, the article specifies the function andachievement of the integrative collecting data system based on the mobile module,such as the hardware function and module, detailed analysis of the principle andstrategy that the system need to follow. In addition, this article describes SMS' formatand coding method in the mode of PDU and text, and its security and transmissionflow. At last, the article concludes the technologies and prospects of the application ofcollecting data based on wireless communication technology. |
