Under our country's current tobacco control system, even though tobacco production is strictly managed by government tobacco administration, economic gain by tobacco farmers is critically important for improving their quality of life and advancement of agricultural technology.However, tobacco production management is a complex process, with many different layers, and many different fields, in the meanwhile, with many different kinds of tobacco products, with many steps in production and marketing, with complex processing methods and many different related materials, difficult to promote new technology, and higher risk for tobacco farmer, thus it posts a difficult management problem for tobacco industry. Therefore, the state tobacco administration strongly promotes individualized tobacco farmer information management system, to improve tobacco production management, to build technological training network, and offer full service support to tobacco farmer to for long-term development of tobacco industry.As part of tobacco industry information infrastructure, using information technology and Internet, comprehensive tobacco information management system will integrate all kinds of resources in tobacco production, management and marketing, and supply real time information to help tobacco company to make better business decision, and to improve its core competitiveness. It will require tobacco companies to build high tech information management system to improve its profitability.This thesis analyzes the tobacco comprehensive information management system, defines the scope of the target field, uses object oriented software engineering method, analyzes the basic business flow of tobacco industry, builds the system architecture, and defines every individual functional modules; then it gives detailed system design (every functional modules, database, tobacco data interface); describes layered architecture method in this application; then summarizes the principle for system testing, the method of testing, and steps of testing; and finally, offers some thinking on this system's future development.
