This thesis is mainly to design a Ethernet to Powerline bridge based on Intellon's advanced INT5200 single-chip powerline solution, and make data communication via the low voltage Powerline available. After discussing the transmission channel property of the low voltage powerline, the thesis explained the Saread Spectrum Communication and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing technology in detail that prepared the ground for the further design of the PLC device.After the related theory analysis, the thesis introduced the Intellon's PowerPacket technology together with the chips of INT5200 and KS8721SL particularly, and then it presented the design proposal for the whole system and also made every functional module actualized part by part. In this paper, it has accomplished the whole designing, hardware making and part debugging, and has obtained some data and experience valuable. According to the design and analyses of the whole paper, it proved that, with the OFDM technology, high-speed communication on the low-voltage powerline is really practicable, and it certainly will lead to a more widen application prospect with realistic meaning.
