Power Line Carrier Communication Device Based On Int5200 Chip Design

Powerline communication uses power line as communication media for data transmission and information exchange. As we enter the 21st century, with the development of the technologies of modulation, power line communication is developing rapidly. Because power line communication has several advantages, such as no need of new wire and low cost, it has drawn a lot of attentions in the fields of broadband access.This thesis firstly make a simple introduction for powerline communication, discussing the transmission channel property of the low voltage powerline, then introduce some modulations which is fit for transmission in the channel, and explained Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing technology in detail that prepared the ground for the further design of the PLC device. After the related theory analysis, the thesis introduced the Intellon's the chips of INT5200 and correlative technology, and then it presented the design proposal for the whole system and also made every functional module actualized part by part. At last, I accomplished the whole designing, and tested the PLC modem.
