In the dissertation the theory of the Image Intensifier and the characteristics of the ultra-violet image and low-light image are studied, Moreover, a new color night vision system project is designed, The dissertation has done lots of research on real-time image preprocess algorithms and color image fusion algorithms of night vision image, Based on well analyzing the emulation result of color image fusion algorithms and the specific demands of real-time image process. The image process hardware platform of the color night vision image system is designed by using DM642 multimedium of the processor and model block which adopts CCIR656 compatible interfaces. The software based on the process is developed. In addition, the system design and debugging experiences are summarized.
