In this dissertation, on the basis of the analysis on the imaging characteristics of thelow light level TV system and the theory of dual-band detection of low light level, atechnique of single channel dual-band low light level fusion color night vision system isinvestigated. A color night vision scheme to realize the collection of dual-band informationwith a single camera is introduced and its feasibility is demonstrated. On arithmetic, as tothe characteristic of the single channel dual-band low light level images, the experimentsof mended dual-band low light level fusion algorithms and new ones are conducted and thearithmetical processing speed and fusion effect excel former ones. On the integratedconsideration of image processing effect and being apt to hardware implement, applicationof many fusion algorithms in dual-spectrum low-level light images are systematicallydiscussed and compared. And based on the DSP hardware platform, the software programsthat are optimized are designed and the real-time processing of the algorithms is realized. On the base of above search, this article makes use of the low-level light night visionsample system built by item group to carry out a great deal of experiments and tests, andprocess much original collected images data by fusion arithmetic. Good colorful displayeffect is achieved.
