Automobile market in china is booming fast, as new models of cars are developed, and prices of high quality autos go down gradually. In domestic market, the sale volumn of cars in 2003 reaches 4,390,000, of which the amount of passenger accommodation vehicles is 2,020,000. Consequently, the security issue for drivers arises more and more attention. It is reported that 70 per cent of traffic accidents are credited to tire blow-up. The major cause for tire blow-up is that the a flat tire runs overtime. Cars nowadays have equipped various safety devices, such as seatbelt, airbag,EDS, EPS, ABS, defending bar and so on. However, most are protection measures after accident happened, while tire pressure monitoring system(TPMS) could monitor the running condition of tires contemporarily, so as toprevent tire blow-ups efficiently.TPMS encompasses two major parts. Monitor modules fixed on each tire examine pressure and temperature inside the tiyre by sensors, and thensend data out by RF circuit. Display module fixed in driver cab shows and analyses data as received them. Once the tire is found running out of way, display module will send a warning massage to driver in time. This article introduces the producing process of a real direct TPMS sets in detail, and exerts analysis in the following aspects: 1.To appearance andstructure, it should be suitable for being fixed inside a car, and be convenient to operate; 2.To hardware design, it should assure the accuracy ofexamination, and reliability, stability and anti-jamming ability for sendingsignals; 3. It requires to work in an environment with high temperature and strong jounce; 4. To software design, data fault tolerance, energy saving and operating convenience should be considered.
