Based On The Gps Vehicle Location Monitoring System Design And Realization

In the past ten years the vehicle positioning, navigation and the technologies about ITS have been extending throughout the entire world, and how to direct and control vehicle, avoid sin and decrease pollution has became an important problem. in allusion to the hotspot, this paper designs a project which can realize the vehicle positioning and monitoring. First, through the study of the actuality of GPS vehicle system through out the world, it presents a feasible project which integrate the GPS,GSM and GIS, and analyses GPS, vehicle terminal, GSM and the function of the monitoring center. And then, it in-depth researches in GPS,GSM and GIS: Analyses the GPS and the theory of positioning, especially in the theory of DGPS; Analyses the GSM, and confirms SMS as the communication mode of the vehicle system; Study the GIS, and take the MapX as the design environment. Through the preparation of the theory, it can ensure the project propitious development and shorten the design period. Finally, it discusses project of the vehicle terminal and the monitoring center from the point of view of the practice, and investigates the structure, the function and the principle of the vehicle positioning and monitoring system. Based on the presentation of the vehicle terminal, it construes the function of the GPS module, the GSM module and the data control unit. And then it gives two realization scheme based on VC++ which can realize the communication between the GPS module and PC: One is the method of API, the other is MSComm control. The generic way of data separation are given lastly. In course of the design of the monitoring center, author has studied the MapX, Visual C++ 6.0,SQL Server 2000,CMPP protocol and ISMG, and has fulfilled the program of the monitoring center in the end. This GPS vehicle positioning and monitoring system can be applied in bus,TAXI, goods circulation, mail delivery and private vehicle etc. It produces a method to enhance the ability of vehicle management and protect vehicle safe. The system has experienced practical test and achieved the expectant positioning and monitoring results.
