Now, thirty-one provincial level TV stations had started up satellite channels one after another in our country (except Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan). As a satellite TV, it must face powerful CCTV and provincial city TV station and cable TV station, at the same time it also competes with other satellite TVs for nationwide market. Every satellite TV bears great pressure. In recent years, the development tactics studies of provincial level satellite TVs has been one of popular topics of theory circles and professional circles. Because the west is a mountainous district, it is very difficult to convey radiobroadcast signal. The west provincial level satellite TVs play an important role in developing the west. But all kinds of facts lead to the unbalance of regional communication between east district and west district in our country; in particular, the west provincial level satellite TVs, which survived in crack, lived in more and more difficult conditions. Implementing the strategy for developing the western makes an opportunity to development the west provincial satellite TVs. Completely seeing through the survival conditions of west provincial level satellite TVs and studying their development tactics are the major reasons of finishing this thesis.The main point of this thesis is to discuss the states quo of the twelve west satellite channels and their environments. On the basis of exploring the questions of the twelve satellite channels, the thesis analyses the opportunities and tries to give some advice for their development.This thesis is composed of three chapters:Chapter 1 is to discuss the status quo of the west provincial level satellite TVs.Chapter 2 is to discuss the problems and the opportunities met by these west provincial level satellite TVs.Chapter 3 is to discuss the development strategy of the west provincial level satellite TVs.
