In the process of manufacturing radar, the signal simulator of radar is indispensable, it associates digital technology with radar technology, it simulates real-time radar signal and debugs the rank of radar in lack of the former port, the technology of radar signal simulation have become an important branch because of its important role in radar debugging and equipment maintenance. In recent year, with the development of radar technology, the research of radar signal simulator has become a hotspot in the range of military investigation, radar signal simulator was required to simulate video signal with adequate high-frequency.The simulation and research of international radar signal were emphasized on two aspects: one is the precise of simulation, it is how to establish realistic model, the other is the efficiency of simulation, it is how to ascertain reasonable arithmetic. There is no report of core technology in international range.With the development of the technology in communication, radar, space navigation, telecontrol and remote sensing, the request is much higher on frequency stabilization, frequency purity and the number of frequency. In the past, radar analog signals are output by Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) or DSP controlled by micro-controller. But, the frequency produced by Voltage Controlled Oscillator is unstable and its precision is low. the micro-controller drives DSP, the frequency of system change slowly and it is not agile. In this paper, wide band radar signals are produced by DDS, the problems of frequency precise and stability are solved, moreover, the rapid change of wave parameters and frequency come true. DDS is controlled by DSP, and it resolved the problem that the chip frequency is on low side. DDS can produce diversiform signals. Furthermore, the capability of real time and the revisability of parameter are enhanced because the DSP chip connects with PC via serial port and software programming.
