Radar is a electronic equipment, with the ability of radio detection , location, test track and identify to the remote target ,whether in the military or civilian, have occupied an important position. Radar theory and practice show that the performance of radar , the four anti-radar capabilities have a very important relationship with and signal bandwidth and signal forms. Parameters of radar signal is an important element in the overall desingne in radar systems,because it has a profound effect to target detection, estimation accuracy, target identification capability and immunity performance.First, we describe some methods about of the synthesis of radar signals, as fellow the traditional radar frequency synthesis technology advantages and disadvantages are discussed, and finally, we summarize the characteristics of the direct digital synthesizer and frequency lock-in technique PLL. After analyzing a variety of mainstream DDS chip, a mian program is designed ,which base on ADI's Analog Devices DDS chip AD9854 and digital multiple frequency chip ADF4106. Ihe article describes , the radar singnal simulator hardware circuit and software design are detailed description by module to mouule, and the maximize potential of the the chip has excavated. To achieve the analog modulation and digital modulation integrated extensions, digital signal processing chip, the AD9854, ADF4106 are closely to together.Radar signal simulator hardware can be divided into four modules, DDS core board module, ADF4106 frequency module, the central controller module, and the interactive module。Software components are to develop DSP-based data processing and control procedures, and the control of interactive communication program module. The focus is how to control AD9854, ADF4106 frequency module, the purpose is to give full play the function of each module.Finally, the feasible development of the radar signal simulator programs,and relate to major ardar waveform control procedures.
