The work in this dissertation, which comes from the A5101project of China-Core Corp., is to use the certain standard on-chip bus to design the bus system of A5101, and also is to research & implement C*Core microprocessors' integration in SoC.A5101 use the AMBA AHB/APB buses. After understanding the on-chip bus, the core technology of IP integration, author designed a dual-system-bus architecture based on AMBA for A5101 to integrate different IPs together. For extending the on-chip bus in SoC, author also research and implement C*Core microprocessors' integration in SoC. AMBA AHB and AMBA APB standards are studied, and all kinds of transfer types are analyzed. On the base of the A5101 project, a design of a dual-system-bus architecture based on AMBA is designed and also implemented in A5101 project. Researching the expend of the SoC, authore used one of the C*Core microprocessor the 32 bit C310 replace 8051 microprocessor. The architecture, program model, instruction, data path of C310 are all be studied, especial MLB bus. Based on the A5101 architecture, the bus architecture is changed for the replacement. And the bridges between MLB and AMBA has been designed to switch the transfer in two systems. MLB2AHB bridge, which is used to switch the transfers from AHB master to AHB slave. MLB2APB bridge, which is used to switch the transfers from ASB master to APB slave. The simulation environment is developed. Developed the simulation environment for A5101 bus system, which include the most important simulation model of D805XX and the monitor. Implemented the verification of the dual-system-bus architecture of A5101project. Developed another simulation environment for C*Core integration test, on which the MLB2AHB and MLB2APB bridges are tested. This dissertation has contributed to designing SoC using standard on-chip buses, and realized the bus system of A5101 project, which is convenient for adding new cores in function development. Furthermore, the expending of the on-chip bus has also been researched, and C*Core integration in SoC has been studied, and the design of bridge also has provided a good solution to transfer data between two on-chip bus systems conveniently.
