Realizing the economy and reasonable use of hydrological resource by automatic monitoring and forecasting of the hydrological date is inevitable for the water conservancy modernization. With the development of internet and the application of web technology widespreadly, the more and more network communication facilities, even measuring instrument all already realized the built-in embedded web server. At present, hydrological monitoring and forecasting system is developing in the direction of the network.The thesis works on embedded hydrological monitoring and forecasting system research, based on ethernet. By constructing web server in the hydrological monitoring and forecasting apparatus, the hydrological date can access to internet by ethernet. So people can look up water information in real time by using browser. The system has realized real-time monitor and forecast of water date based on ethernet.At present, hydrological monitoring and forecasting system based on ethernet mainly take ARM as core .Although quickly and effective, it has many shortcomings, such as it is expensive, not advantageous for systematic popularizing. Based on MSP430 can not only accomplish the expected function but also solve those problems mentioned aboved successfully.The thesis introduces the whole construction of this embedded hydrological monitoring and forecasting system; discusses the theory and the construction of each module and network transmission technology ; introduces inductive digital water-level sensor designed by measuring and controlling technology institute, Taiyuan University of Technology; discusses the hardware of this embedded water monitoring and forecasting system, including the design of the central processing module based on MSP430F149, the memory module, the network module and others. This thesis studies the design and realization of the ethernet interface module, introduces the software design of this hydrological monitoring and forecasting system and the design of the TCP/IP stack which suits to small system, designs embedded web server, realizing long-distance transmission of water date by ethernet. The thesis analyses and discusses the problem fell across in the system debug, and brings forward the next supposition. At present, the transmission of the hydrological monitoring and forecasting system has already worked in ethernet successfully, which has favorable application and widespread value.
