This dissertation introduces the design of USB2.0 Interface Controller ASIC, describes the realization of Flash Controller(FC) Module in detail.Finally the result of the simulation and verification is being shown,it proves that FC reaches the aim of the design. Firstly, this dissertation introduces the features of USB,the current development of USB2.0 interface ASIC in the world,our technical accumulate,the wide market potential of U disk.Then points out this research has important significance. Then there is a brief introduction of USB2.0 Specification and USB 2.0 Transceiver Macrocell Interface Specification.They are the most basic referrence of this design. This design is composed of 8 modules: Microcontroller(MCU),USB2.0 PHY,Serial Interface Engine(SIE),SIE Assistant Interface(SAI),Data Buffer(DBuf),DMA Controller(DMAC),Flash Controller(FC),MCU Bus Interface (MITF).MCU controls the whole operation of the design.USB2.0 PHY finishes the UTM functions,presents UTMI for SIE.SIE deals with the USB protocol packets, provides the payload of USB protocol packets for the device.SAI communicates with SIE by DMA interface,stores endpoint data in endpoint buffer.DBuf is a buffer for the data that will exchange with Flash.DMAC controls the DMA transfers between DBuf and FC.FC is in charge of the whole operations of Flash. Mitf is the interface of MCU with other module within the aisc. The whole operation of the design is control by the MCU firmware.The firmware must obey Bulk Only Protocl, interprets and executes UFI Commands.The basic data flow of read and write are also being given. Flash operation is the speed bottleneck of the U disk,the design of FC influences the whole performance of the U disk.According to Flash's block/page structure and opertation features,the design of FC is being describe in detail.FC is composed of 5 modules: FcDecode,FcCtrl,FcSm,FcEcc,FcMux.FcDecode decodes the address. FcCtrl contain the mostly control registers of FC. FcSm realizes the seven state machines,each state machine finishes one kind of flash operation.FcSm is the most complex and important module in the FC. FcEcc works out the ECC codes of transfer data. FcMux is a multiplexer when MCU read the FC registers. At last, the project of simulation and verification of FC is being given.FC has...
