In recent decades satellite communication system,radar system and mobile communication system developed rapidly,and is closely related to the microwave devices are more and more engineers higher performance requirements are put forward.The microwave attenuator received great attention.But the original working band have crowded,the working frequency band of microwave attenuator has to improve,especially in millimeter wave band has become a research hotspot now.Microwave attenuator can realize the preset accurate attenuation rate constant of microwave,provide appropriate input signal for subsequent circuits,at the same time can also be inserted into the impedance mismatch between circuit and achieve certain attenuation,buffer impedance change.Microwave attenuator was in widely used in electronic devices,such as is used to control the power transmission,automatic gain control circuit and radar systems.Microwave attenuator in loss,radiation and interference and a series of problems has special meaning and an irreplaceable position.The purpose of the study is to design a waveguide precision attenuator,working in millimeter wave band,its working frequency band 26.5 Ghz-40 Ghz,more stringent requirements is to ensure that its working frequency band attenuation absolute accuracy and attenuation flatness.In addition,it also requires high precision broadband attenuation has small volume,compact structure,easy processing,etc.The high precision broadband attenuator,around the mirror symmetry of special structure before and after using,this effectively suppresses the cavity in the body of high order mode,the quasi plane device on the surface structure,convenient for fixed to absorb the material.The structure design of the attenuator can use one-off machining milling machine wash out,not only greatly reduces the manufacturing cost and reduce the effects of the machining error.This is a practical very strong in real machining low-cost microwave devices.
