The rapid development of the virtual instrument technology provides an important approach for the advancement of modern test technology. Nowadays the design of test system by using Virtual Instrument System (VIS) or Virtual Integrated Test System (VITS) is the preferred solution. However, General VIS or VITS design method only aims at specific test object and test task, which results in developed VI modules with poor interchangeability and flexibility, and is difficult to adapt to large complicated test task. So it is of great importance to improve VIS or VITS design method.Based the advanced concept of Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI), a VITS design methodology is put forward in this dissertation, that is, through virtual integrated test workbench (VITW) driven by test task, which consists of three layers, i.e. human-machine interactive layer, system function layer and data support layer, VITS that can perform user's test task is designed and integrated. On VITW, user's complicated test task is decomposed into a series of independent sub-tasks, and then every sub-task is matched with existing virtual test instrument or virtual test function module in VI database. All these VIs corresponding with all sub-tasks are integrated into a VITS according to rational logic sequence. The framework, function accomplishment ways and workflow of the VITW are described in particular.By analyzing the characteristics of multi-sensor information fusion and the research actuality of Virtual Test System (VTS), a new idea is proposed, that is, multi-sensor information fusion is applied in VTS that is used in the design of Tire Safety Monitoring Virtual Test System (TSMVTS). The software of TSMVTS is developed by VITW. In the end, the TSMVTS emulator is accomplished and its feasibility is validated. This idea offers a method for other test system.By the same time, a pull and press intensity virtual test system is developed on VITW, which improve the work efficiency of the old Pull and Press Intensity test machine and supply a new approach for the intelligent test of material mechanicalbehaviors. The software and hardware for pull and press intensity test system is designed and trial results evaluation is done in this dissertation.
