With the rapid development of semiconductor, solid-state devices have been used in radar, communication, remote sensing, space navigation and electronic warfare ever since 1940. Late years, since the technical advancement of semiconductor power device and reduction of cost, solid-state radar transmitters have been adopted in more and more kinds of radar systems. Solid-state radar transmitter is the transmitter, which use solid-state microwave power transistor as radiation frequency source.The L band 500W and 2KW solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) modules are studied in this thesis, they are one of core parts in certain solid-state radar transmitters, and used in certain naval vessel radar systems. The mostly work is listed as the followings:The system scheme of L band 500W and 2KW Solid-state Radar transmitters are designed;The 500W SSPA module principle sample is developed;The performance of 500W SSPA module is tested;The develop documents of 500W SSPA module are completed;The research in advance on the L band 2KW solid-state SSPA module is presented.The mainly valuable achievements are listed as followings:1. The L band 500W SSPA module which has reached national level is the first sample of the Southwest China Research Institute of Electronic Equipment in this aspect;2. The method which to obtain fast rising time for narrow pulse width is got;3. The method of eliminating autoecious surge with pulse power amplifier is presented;The cause of pulse shape aberration is analysed.
